Indianapolis Museum of Art Wedding Photography
As promised, here is the final part of Maria and Tom’s Indianapolis Museum of Art wedding photography. In case you may have missed part 1, you can catch up here.
Indianapolis Museum of Art Reception
One of their unique elements of their wedding celebration was the “Colombian Dance Party” playing traditional Colombian music. For the first dance, they chose “Fly Me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra. The bride grew up listening to Frank with her father. They also surprised their guests with a Colombia Salsa immediately following.
Maria and Tom loved the big floor to ceiling windows at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) because they could bring the outdoors inside and enjoy the sunlight coming in. The IMA gardens were the perfect location for a romantic ceremony, and being surrounded by trees and lush flowers was perfectly in line with their natural wedding theme.
Bride’s Advice
Maria encourages everyone to enjoy every minute of the big day.
“I know everyone says it will go by fast, but it’s hard to explain how fast it actually is. Pay attention to all of the details you spent so much time planning for. Even if it is just for 5 seconds make sure to stare at those gorgeous details you designed. And if something goes wrong, let it go, no one else will notice. All that matters is that you have the love of your life by your side. And lastly, stay together on the dance floor. It was amazing how this made all of the guests come and join us,” stated Maria.
Maria’s view:
Tom is extremely funny! I remember the exact text he sent me when we met that still makes me laugh. It was so relaxing to be with him and I still cannot stop staring at his beautiful blue eyes! Tom is so smart and a hard worker, and since we met I’ve been extremely inspired by his tremendous work ethic. Tom is always extremely kind and sweet and always finds a way to make me smile. I am extremely lucky to get to spend the rest of my life with him.
He has made me want to work harder for my dreams, because he showed me that working hard pays off, and I know with him by my side I can accomplish anything. He has always been there for me, his unconditional love, support and companion, even when we were in different countries.
Tom’s view:
Maria is sexy and smart. When I met her, she was doing research at MIT, and has since gotten a Master’s from Duke. Each day, I am in awe of how incredibly intelligent and business savvy she is, and how she can do things that I can’t even begin to do half as well as her. She’s relentlessly enthusiastic and happy, and enjoys life more than most people. When she’s really happy, she’ll actually squeal, which is incredibly endearing to me. She’s contagious with how she views life. Nobody I know deserves the good things that happen to her more than Maria, and I plan to dedicate my life to ensuring that those good things keep on coming. I’m wildly in love with this gorgeous, brilliant woman, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
I’ve loved getting to know Maria and Tom, and I was honored to spend such a special day with them. Gratitude goes out to all the wonderful vendors below for making the day run smoothly and for the fantastic memories.
xoxo
