She loves the way he embraces the little things that most of us take for granted. She loves how he leaves notes in different places, saying he loves her. She loves how he loves unconditionally.
You might have recently read Harry and Shana’s engagement story shared from Harry’s perspective (if you missed it you can read it here). This is a continuation of their love story, told through the eyes and heart of Shana.
“I love how proud he is of our family and how is he teaching our boys to grow up to be little gentlemen and showing my daughter Kendyl how she deserves to be treated. He has the biggest heart. He’s there for anyone at anytime. He is not afraid to give a spontaneous hug, kiss, wink or grab my hand while walking through a store. He always opens the door for Kendyl and I, and he is constantly complimenting me. He treats me better than I ever thought possible, I am truly lucky to call him my husband.
Harry seems just as enamored with his bride. “The entire day was amazing, and seemingly went as fast as it came. But my bride was my favorite part of the wedding day,” said Harry.
Shana’s favorite part of the wedding day was actually sharing their “letters” to each other. “I absolutely hated the idea of it at the beginning because I am terrible at that sort of thing. Its not easy for me to express my feelings, unlike Harry who could probably write cards for Hallmark. I am so glad that we did that though, it really made that moment and that day more meaningful,” she said.
As for me, I felt so lucky to witness and capture their official union. We worked together for over a year, and I loved how invested they were in each other, their wedding day AND their photography. They are proof that love always gives us many chances in life, and Harry is the shining example of chivalry and good manners. I’m glad to know it’s not a thing of the past, and that he’s setting the bar high for others to follow.
Advice to engaged couples from Harry and Shana: Don’t stress so much, the minor details and drama that stress you out leading up to and even on the day of the event literally just work themselves out. At the end of the day, it isn’t about any other person but you and your spouse, so just take deep breaths and enjoy the journey. This will be the only time you have your people in one place at one time celebrating you!
