A Forest Hills wedding
Bailey and Dustin tied the knot, and had a lovely, lush Forest Hills Country Club wedding. I say lush because the grass couldn’t get any greener due to the amounts of rain we had been having. Although the bride and groom woke up to rain, we got a small break the skies and scampered outside for as many bride and groom portraits we could get away with. And as I always say, try to make lemonade out of lemons. We ended up using the wet driveway for some pretty nice reflection shots, as you’ll see later.
Also, pay attention to the jewelry. Bailey made (yes, MADE) Dustin’s ring and her earrings. Her earrings are made from sterling silver, 14K gold and raw black diamonds. She made them to abstractly mimic a flower in honor of her grandma. Dustin’s ring is made from sterling silver and a very simple hammered texture. See more work on her Instagram account (@Jinjo.Spumoni).
Bailey and Dustin in their own words
There’s always something to learn from every wedding. What to do, or not to do. If you’re reading this and newly engaged then you’ll appreciate the bride and grooms POV from their Forest Hills wedding. Read on!
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
The most memorable part of our day was having everyone together and tailoring our ceremony to our own tastes.
Any advice for future bride and grooms?
Some advice we have for future newlyweds is to not feel like you are bound by any tradition; make your wedding your own.
Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Of the many hilarious moments of the day, the funniest was probably that our celebration the night before was so epic, not everyone could properly celebrate the next day.

What were your songs?
The Mother’s Portrait by Bruno Coulais (Song of the Sea soundtrack, AMAZING MOVIE!!!)
No Wonder I by LAKE
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
If we could change anything, we would have made it last longer. It felt just felt like it was all over way too fast.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Benihana in Indianapolis for a deluxe dinner, and after went to an awesome concert to see Dr. Dog and (Sandy) Alex G play at the Sun King Brewery. We plan to take a special trip at some point, but that was a perfect night!
How did the two of you meet?
We met in Dustin’s garage when he was playing some guitar. We hit it off immediately and have been together ever since.
What is your favorite way to spend time together?
Our favorite ways to spend time together involve cooking, going to concerts, adventuring in nature, listening to/making music, hanging with our critter roommates, and just so much more. We are best friends!
Your favorite thing about the person you are marrying?
What we love about each other most is our shared views on the world, pursuing knowledge together, and that we both care very much to try and help as many animals out there as we can.
