Kelci and Mateo tie the knot at The Wilds Wedding Venue

Ask anyone who has worked with The Wilds Wedding Venue in Bloomington, Indiana, and they can tell you you’ll rest easy knowing everything is taken care of. Kelci and Mateo were looking for a stress-free day and found that the Wilds offered them an all-in-one location, easy access, and fantastic customer service.

But most importantly about that day was the amazing love felt between Kelci and Mateo.”I heard everybody stand up, knowing Kelci was only a few steps away as she walked down the aisle. When I turned around I saw the most beautiful person I could ever meet. The day went by so fast and people told us that it would, but with her everything just slowed down. That is something I will always remember… her walking to me,” said Mateo. (Okay, can we all say “awwwww” to that sweetness?!)

Q & A with Kelci and Mateo

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Kelci: Walking down the aisle was the most memorable moment of our day. It was overwhelming with everybody looking at me. I could not see Mateo yet, or hear myself think when my dad and I first started walking. I could not hear the music because my own thoughts were so loud. But the moment Mateo turned around, those feelings of being overwhelmed disappeared. I was finally able to breath once we locked eyes and I was one step closer to holding his hand. Everything and everyone was a blur once I saw him because I knew my person was waiting for me and would comfort me with open arms.

Any advice for future bride/grooms?

Focus on your partner. Take it all in, the day goes by so fast! Remember you guys are there for each other and your guests are there for the ride.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

The shoe game! It was fun sharing laughs and giving people a quick glimpse of our lives together.

What was your song?

Our song was “You & I “Always by Jake Issac.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Without a doubt, we would NOT change a thing about our day!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Clearwater, FL and everyday was spent on the beach.

Career paths?

Mateo is one of the top sellers at AT&T at the Bloomington location, and Kelci is working on her Realtor License in hopes of becoming a Broker one day. They are moving to Indianapolis  in the next few months to take further steps in professional growth, as well as being closer to family.
